Invitations

Arguably the most important item on this list, the invitations that you send out to your guests are absolutely crucial to ensure the day runs smoothly. Don’t leave this too late, as you want to make sure that your guests are available on the day. The general rule of thumb for this is to send these out three months prior to the wedding. Be sure to keep track of who you invite, and follow-up before the RSVP date and the big day.
Considering you’ll probably want to keep one of these invitations as memorabilia, it’s important to find a quality wedding invitation printer who can live up to that requirement. The last thing you want is an invitation that looks tacky, especially for such an important day in your life.

Table numbers

Regardless of whether you’re choosing a formal or more relaxed wedding theme, it’s crucial that you number the tables to avoid any confusion. Wedding guests need to know exactly at which table they’ll be sitting when moving through to the entertainment part of the day/evening. Bonus Tip: Keep the same font and colour scheme throughout all of your printed wedding materials to create a professional look.
-
Guest placement cards
Apart from numbering the tables accordingly, you also need to ensure that you place your guests in spots where they’ll feel comfortable. You don’t want any fights to break out because you’ve sat two people together that have clashing personalities, or are not friendly with one another. This also frees up any potential confusion of people not knowing where to sit.
-
Wedding favours
It’s customary to offer gifts to each guest that attends your wedding. Normally, it’ll consist of something small that they can take home in order to remember your special day. Why not customise each gift by adding a custom swing tag and special message to let each guest know that you appreciate their attendance?
-
RSVPs
Normally, when sending out a wedding invitation, it’s appropriate to add an RSVP card which can be filled out by guests to let you know if they’ll be attending your wedding. This particular addon will be accompanied by a stamped envelope for easy mailing. Though now considered a little old fashioned, this is still big with traditional style weddings.
-
Menus
If you plan on having a sit-down dinner fully planned ahead with only a few options to choose from, you’re going to have to provide a menu for your guests to choose from. The trick is to offer one choice for each type of food preference in order to provide variety and cater for guests who may have certain food restrictions. Be sure to choose a font suitable for your wedding ‘tone’ (depending on whether you choose a classic, traditional wedding or a more relaxed, boho-chic type of theme.)
Place one menu with each table setting for guests to look at and decide in their own time without feeling rushed to make a decision.

Thank-you cards
Of course, when everything’s been said and done and you’re happily married, it’s a must to say thank you to every guest who left a gift. It’s a nice and simple way to let them know that you appreciate the time and effort they put into choosing your gift. Why not choose a simple design and add a custom message to each card? It’ll definitely make them feel appreciated.

With the above-mentioned wedding printing checklist to help you figure out the small details easily left to the last minute, you can rest assured that you’ll have your ducks in a row amidst all the crazy wedding planning mayhem.
